Trattoria La Foglia

This restaurant is the address to taste a good pasta. We tried pasta and griller prawn. The taste was good, not perfect but way above the average. The service was quick and the staff was helpful. We sat at the backyard which was better than the street noise I suppose.

The food was very tasty and well-prepared. I would especially like to praise the staff for their kindness and professionalism, and give special thanks to the young man handling reservations - he was extremely helpful and accommodating. The only downside was that we weren’t given wine glasses even though we ordered their house wine. Overall, still a great experience!

Perfect lunch spot. Wonderful welcoming service. I had the drunken ravioli, and husband had the rabbit stew. Both dishes were excellent. Stop here for lunch.

Gorgeous spot to eat. Set on a charming side street in Ortigia, offering lovely food and a nice atmosphere. We stopped for a light lunch and a glass of wine. Service was great. Octopus salad and the anchovie bruschetta were very good.

Hands down, the best rustic Italian lunch I ever had in Ortigia. Trattoria La Foglia is a gem with its cozy interior that makes you feel right at home. The three pastas I tried—pomodoro, anchovies, and ragu—were all spot-on, each sauce packed with flavor and cooked just right. The gold and crispy mixed seafood was a total standout, perfectly crunchy and fresh. The mixed vegetables were simple but done so well, and the meatballs? Juicy, hearty, and just like something an Italian grandma would make. Everything felt authentic, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. If you’re in Ortigia, this place is a must for a real Italian meal.

we walked up without a reservation around 8:45pm on a wednesday and were offered a cozy table inside. we ordered the pasta with seasonal veggies and pine nuts and it was simply incredible. like, hard to understand how it could be so delicious. we weren’t super hungry and they didn’t mind us sharing, even split it onto two plates. we got panelle too and they were the best we’ve had in sicily! tried to get a reservation for saturday night but they were full already so i would recommend booking early

Beautiful restaurant with local dishes and a lot of vegetarian and pescatarian options. Found it just by walking by and did surprise us for the quality of the food and variety of vegetable plates offered. The place is quiet and relaxing, and the staff is super nice. I personally tried the caponata which was one of the best ones I tried in Sicily and the Alici e Mollica, which was delicious. The vegetable plate that my companions ordered was magnificent (check the photos) with so much variety. I highly recommend trying this place.

Amazing, delicious, such a beautiful setting, freshest seafood, most delicious pasta, gluten free pasta better than I’ve ever tasted!!! Orange salad so incredibly good!!
